A few years ago, I emailed Jim Van Pelt (who I’d heard of, but didn’t know personally) to ask him how he went about getting his first short story collection, Strangers and Beggars published. He gave me a detailed reply, which he has posted on his own blog here. I found that information very helpful when putting together my own collection and choosing a publisher to approach.
